In 2009, CVLS’ 2,900 volunteers helped more than 17,000 low income Chicagoans with their legal problems—for free. Our pro bono attorneys handle more litigation and more family law cases than any other legal aid program in Illinois.

These volunteers work hard and get amazing results, but they can’t do it without your financial support. Your donations pay for CVLS’ highly qualified staff, who offer essential training and hands-on support, and for the comprehensive facilities the volunteers need.
